CONDEMNATION

CONDEMNATION

What a way to feel, losing all sense of innocence, putting on a robe of filth not because there weren’t worthy apparels, really, the royal diadems and linens seemed too befitting but was I worthy of them? Apparently, this is a question, a struggle that seems to plague most people. Am I worthy to receive good things, to be liked, blessed by others, am I meant to be loved by a man or even God? Lots of self-inflicted CONDEMNATION.
Where does this self-doubt come from? How did this start? Who are you? If only people could answer these questions, how easy life would be for them.
Let’s see; where does the self-doubt come from?
Self-doubt can only come from you. No one has the power to make you think low of yourself or to change your identity. Self-doubt can only be influenced by you when you give it a breathing space, but I say it cannot be forced upon you. The Bible says “the thief comes to steal”, this same Bible says “guard your heart with all diligence”, rephrasing and aligning the thief comes to steal and guard your heart with all diligence, I can say that your identity can be stolen or changed only when you choose to let it happen, when you decide not to guard it. This leads to how do this start?
HOW?
I can think of several means, a lot of pathways to CONDEMNATION. Starting off with People; upon creation, God made man and woman amongst several other things. But, there was a creation of God now known as the devil who took the form of a serpent, he saw how good things were, still, it was not satisfied. The serpent, being the thief stole the identity of Adam and Eve, people who used to be so bold to stand before their God became so aware of their inadequacies, ashamed and hidden. Also, checking the story of the woman whom the Pharisees and leaders had condemned, giving her the identity of a prostitute, we can see how easy it is for people to suddenly get interested in your life only to steal your identity.
Also, Environment is one of the pathways to CONDEMNATION. the environment is not only likened to where you live or a place, it could also be your circumstance, a condition. I had the opportunity of talking to a lady, I asked what the plan is for the future? Where do you see yourself in the next 5years? The next thing she said was that she did not go to school and that she needs to hustle so as to keep herself and her family. This lady already condemned her future life to hustle all because she had not gone to school. There was a story of a man in the Bible who was lame and could not work, Christ asked him if he wanted to be made whole? His reply, however, was shocking, he said; “I have no man to put me in the pool”, this is me wondering, and why do you need a man when you already have Jesus. Most times we let what is going on in our lives such as the abuse from parents, lovers, or even from work, we let them take away our identity and when you are asked what you want from life it’s just so easy to pick up the left-overs of life and feed on them.
After all, is said, Sin cannot be excused when it comes to condemnation. Sin takes one far from GOD. You disappoint God by not doing what you are meant to do, then instead of being sorry and letting God who happens to be your Father know how sorry you are, you beat up yourself, hate yourself, hide yourself and take the sinner code. Imagine a little boy who offends his father, stomps his feet at his father after being so rude to him, this boy goes into his room, crying all day because he was rude to his old man, meanwhile, his father is also not happy about what his son did. The son goes out the next day not apologizing to his father, he meets with his friends in school or any social gathering, this lad goes about telling his friends how he was rude to his father, how he isn’t deserving of the father’s love. Meanwhile, his father awaits him at home, he can’t wait to have his son back, he has gone to get lots of gifts for his son, he has indeed forgiven him, but how can he tell his son this since he has decided to beat himself up and stay out of the house. Really, this is what happens when we sin and work out on God. We condemn ourselves like the lad did and we miss out of God’s blessings for us.
Who are you?
This is more of an identity question than what is your name. It says define yourself. What is your perception of yourself? Are you a liar, a cheat, do you have the sinner code written all over you? Or are you a child of God? The Son of THE FATHER? The righteousness of God? Are you blessed? Are you Condemned or Redeemed?
Knowing and understanding who you are in God is vital in the race of life, this is what keeps you going, knowing that you are loved, cherished, protected keeps you moving at the pace of God.
Casting aside all burdens, why not meet with God who is waiting patiently to have all burdens removed. Jesus says, “Come unto me all ye that are heavy laden and I will give you rest”, this is well interpreted as drop whatsoever guilt or worries, you are not condemned, I have pleasures stored up for your enjoyment, you just come!
